Our Model is Christ” model club was formed in February 1993. It's purpose is to bring together children, parents and other adults who like to build models already and to introduce the model-building hobby to those who might be considering it for the first time. Club members attend monthly meetings to build models, share ideas, fellowship with others and just have fun. Children learn to follow directions, develop patience, confidence and creativity, and learn to set goals and to complete the project they started. Meetings are held from 7pm to 9pm on the third Friday night of each month at the Catoctin Church of Christ in Thurmont, Maryland.

Hagerstown Speedway.

Hagerstown Speedway“The Capitol of Dirt Track Racing” hosts races for Super Late Model, Late Model Sportman and Pure Stock racing categories. The Hagerstown Speedway is a true 1/2 mile track with straight-aways over 900 ft. long & 70 ft. wide. The racing surface is made of the finest red clay in the nation. The smooth, wide surface makes Hagerstown Speedway one of the fastest and safest dirt tracks in the U.S. on which to race. They also sponsor an IPMS Tristate club night, in which members of our club view the races from the press box and observation deck towering over the speedway.

Larry Selman Illustration.

Mr. Selman is an illustrator and artist/owner of Larry Selman Illustration. His portfolio covers a wide range of subjects including military events (Indian wars through modern military), famous personalities (fiction and non-fiction) and public servants in action. Mr. Selman is also an occasional speaker at our monthly meetings.

Michael Baughman Racing

Mr. Baughman has been a long time driver/owner and has raced in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and other marquis racing events. Mr. Baughman currently competes in the Grand Am Rolex Series. Mr. Baughman is an occasional speaker at our monthly meetings.

IPMS/USA is an organization dedicated to the fun of Scale Modeling. There are now branches of IPMS all over the world. Many of our Local Chapters and Regions sponsor Model shows and contests every year.

IPMS Washington DC

We hold a meeting each month to allow model builders such as yourself to get together with people from all walks of life who have one common bond - they enjoy building scale models. They also co-host the MARAUDERCON model show and contest.

The New Jersey Chapter of the International Plastic Modeler’s Society

New Jersey IPMS is a club of modelers who get together once a month to trade ideas on modeling and basically have fun. They also host the MOSQUITOCON model show and contest.
